Why did I create the Lead With Purpose Course?

I am someone who spent most of her adult life doing what the self-help books suggested to do when life gets hard, “find my purpose” and always came up empty-handed after looking for it in something outside of myself.

What I learnt in my last effort to find purpose by trying to manifest ownership of a motel in the hopes of having purpose and living as my authentic self is that purpose has nothing to do with what you do and, for that matter, your kids, your aging parents, making money or going on vacation.

Purpose is not something we find outside of ourselves. It is not our job. It is not the people we love, and it is not the reward we get for working hard.  

Purpose is something internal we identify about ourselves that we naturally do. It is our cause for action. It is what motivates us to be authentic, and it is how we help others and, in return, help ourselves when life gets hard.

That is why I created the Lead With Purpose Course: to help people identify what is unique about them that they naturally do for others. WHY? Because when life gets hard, if we focus on authentically helping others, we end up helping ourselves.
